Google Chrome browser has what it's called the hidden dinosaur game. The Easter Egg is a simple infinite runner game that features the Lonely T-Rex that somehow got trapped in a desert.

The game was initially introduced as reminder of the 'prehistoric ages,' or the time when internet's existence wasn't yet ubiquitous. This is why the game is the default page that shows up when Chrome isn't connected to the internet.

Created by MSCHF and Esports clan 100 Thieves, the game features an outlandish mod of the popular game, by spicing it up with the addition of an AK-47 assault rifle, a grenade launcher, a handgun, a laser gun, a pair of flip flops, a baseball bat, bow and arrow, swords, halberd, a portal gun, and more.

The additions can either be eternally useful, limited in use, or simply useless.

“Dino Swords is our take on the classic Chrome dinosaur runner game, made extravagant with 26 weapons to help your runs,” said 100 Thieves founder Matthew Haag.

“Many of them pay homage to classic video game weapons, some of them are totally OP, and some are completely useless. There’s even a few easter eggs that are pretty hard to unlock.”

The game pretty much relies on the same gameplay as Google's version, with the exception that players can acquire other tools and weapons long the way.

Each time they pick up an item, the game prompts users to use it by highlighting a key on their keyboard.

“We have all played the Dino game in Chrome, and I don’t know about you, but on our end, we always had these fun ideas of how you could mod it — so we just decided to do it,” said Daniel Greenberg from MSCHF. “Also, anything we can take from a big company (like Google) and mess with we will.”

'The original version just wasn't violent enough for us. The Dino Game is the final holdover from the golden age of things like Addicting Games and Miniclip games. We're just making it truer to form.'

The Dino Swords game was first announced by 100 Thieves on Twitter.

Matthew Haag said that the prizes will be awesome, though that could be subjective.

As a result of this, only minutes after the game was first released, players began climbing their way to the top using cheats.

Players of the original dinosaur game on Chrome have been using some basic cheats on the Dino Swords, since the latter is a direct comparison to the former.

Chrome’s dinosaur game it’s appear to be a very popular game for our rough days in the office. Thus, this my story how I change a negative day in the office when I haven’t stable internet connection, to an adventure, by exploring the Dino game that we all love and ending up to a fun and super easy cheat.

The method was pretty easy. As the Dino game living under a webpage, I though it would be accessible to manipulate it through the Chrome’s DevTool page. So, by searching the web you can easily found that you can access game’s instance through “Runner” class. After this, it was a matter of time to discover a variable that will help us to achieve our goal.

So, one of the useful variables was the “gravity”, and we will use it to win the game by writing the bellow line of code only. Runner.instance_.tRex.config.GRAVITY = 0

How to use it:

1. First, go offline (use Chrome’s Dev Tool to simulate offline mode) or just open this page chrome://dino/.
2. When you see the Dino start the game and instantly press F12 to open the Dev Tools.
3. In the console paste the line: Runner.instance_.tRex.config.GRAVITY = 0
4. Now return to the game and press space bar to jump.

As you see by setting the gravity to zero, you just disable the force that attracts the dinosaur back to the ground, so you can pass all the obstacles without loosing. When you need your leading actor back to finish the game, just press and hold the arrow down key and let the gravity attract our hero back to the ground.
