Go to the flickering street light just to the right of the morgue. Stand under the light on the crack in the ground where NPCs will sometimes stop at. Open the inventory and select the matchbox. Examine the matchbox, and you will hear a beep sound if you are standing in the correct location. Move around slightly if the confirmation sound is not heard. Examine it three additional times, with beeps confirming each examination. Exit the inventory screen and walk into the morgue. Move just inside the door and stop in that hallway. Examine the matchbox for a fifth time. Three beeps will confirm that your location is correct. Select the matchbox again and the 'Examine L' text will instead read 'Open R'. Ask the secretary about street doc and she will let you into the doc's office. Ask him about the Cortex Bomb and he will defuse it for you. A lot of money is required because the operation is expensive.

Hint: Extra armor:
After you have defused the Cortex Bomb, go back to the doctor before or after you kill Drake (but only when you have entered the volcano). Also, you may need to purchase the two Cyberware Upgrades. He should have new Cyberware that raises Jake's armor class by two, regardless of what he is wearing.

Hint: Karma (emulator):
Note: The Zsnes emulator is required for this trick. In the Darkblade basement where all the ghouls keep coming up, position Jake somewhere between a coffin and where the ghouls spawn from. Configure your controller or keyboard with a turbo button for shoot and position the crosshairs where the ghouls try and attack you, but get stuck on the other side of the coffin. Tape the button you assigned for shoot and the ~ key. The ~ key speeds up game play. Allow the game to remain in this state for about five minutes. You should have upwards of 100 karma.

Hint: Vampire money:
After defeating the jester spirit, exit through his portal and return to the Dark Blade mansion. Go back to the basement and you will find the vampire has returned. You can get some karma and 5,000 Nuyen from him again. Repeat the process to get more money. Note: You only have to defeat the jester spirit once; he does not respawn like the vampire.

• Cheat Menu

To get a hidden cheat menu, at the title screen, press A, B, B, A, C, A, B. Then, start up a game, either new or saved, and go to pocket secretary. Go down the menu, and under the last option, the cursor will go on an empty space. Choose that option.

Using the phone, hack into your employer's network and download as many files as you can. Then go into the building and sell the files! To ride cabs free, garner a good reputation. Then go to the Ork gang hideout and buy protection from them. The 'smell' cloth they give you in return can also be used for free cab rides!

Hold it for about twenty seconds and then you will not see a picture of the man you want to talk to. You will see a very graphic picture of a dead man being ran over. Buy any type of grenade when you have the money, but DON'T EQUIP IT. When the bullets in your clip get down to about 3-5, equip the grenade then switch back to the gun you're using. You may have to do this more than once to get back to a full clip. Submitted by Syndish
